You Asked For It is our new series where we tackle the tough questions you've asked us to answer. Each week we focus on one question and look at what the Bible has to say about that topic. Below are the six questions we'll be covering:
September 28 – Is It Wrong For A Christian To Drink Alcohol? (6th most requested) No doubt, the most controversial topic I’ve ever dealt with on the Compass stage (and in the South). October 5 – How Far Is Too Far When It Comes To Sex? (5th most asked question) Warning - PG 13 Sunday. Holding nothing back on this one because the Bible is clear and explicit. Here’s some of the topics already on the table – masturbation, porn, swinging, oral sex. This one is going to be INTENSER (is that a word?)
October 12 – Are We Living In The End Times? (4th most requested) This was a huge and popular question that the Bible specifically addresses. PS – We promise no charts.
October 19 – Why Do Bad Things Happen To Good People? (3rd most requested) This is no doubt THE #1 question we’ve ever been asked by people who are searching for God – Why Does God Allow So Much Pain & Suffering? This hits real close to home! God always shows up BIG TIME for this topic!!
October 27 – Can a Christian listen to secular music, see rated R movies, and go to bars? (2nd most requested) Talk about being put on the spot. There’s a myth in culture that says once you become a Christian you have to turn in your license for fun and be bored. There are limits – but it’s an adrenaline rush. This will be a fun day!
November 2 – How Do I Know God’s Will For My Life? (1st most requested) By far the most popular topic requested. We can’t wait to answer this one. Good News – you really can know the purpose God has for your life.
