What's Up Compass -

SO PUMPED about this weekend...one of the CRAZIEST and BIGGEST weekends of Lisa's and my life (hoping that is the properly grammatical way to say that - ha).

Our oldest son, MacLean is graduating - lots of festivities as you would expect.

Our 23rd Wedding Anniversary is this Sunday - Boo Yah (still head over heels in love with that girl!!!!!)

AND, I get to preach for the first time ever on our Anniversary. The Title this Sunday is "23 years and counting". 23 years represents way too many Highs to list (three amazing kids and one gorgeous lady to do life together with just to get started - blessed way beyond what I deserve!!), lots of Lows (yep, got chapters we wish were never written but it's in those where we learned about God's great love, amazing grace, and supernatural provision!!), and several Twists and Turns (transitioning from business to pastoring being one of the biggest, but other than that, what happens at home, stays at home - haha).

Anyway, this Sunday - going to share the ONE THING that we've got RIGHT the past 23 years that I believe has opened the door for God's Blessing quite possibly more than any other single decision we've made as a couple besides giving our lives to Jesus!!

CAN'T WAIT!! Great Sunday to invite a guest and an awesome weekend to celebrate God's Goodness!!!!

Hope your weekend isn't as Crazy but just as Big!!

Compass Crew -

First, of course, EASTER.....

WOW!! Big day, lots of forever changed lives, God showed up and showed off BIG!! All GLORY to Him!!

AND....Much Thanks to all of our amazing ministry team leaders and volunteers for the big "Easter Push" and run leading up to Easter Sunday.

Yep, holy hangover week for everyone - ha, but FIRED UP - some might call me partisan, but that's ok because NOBODY does this better than you guys!!

Your Bold Passion to invite your peeps, pray for a bold move of God, and then lay it all on the line to do whatever it takes to connect people to Jesus from Host & Greeting Team/Ushers to Kids to Production to Worship and everything in between created an environment for our people to bring their peeps where they could consider the claims of Christ, celebrate their Risen Savior, and for many commit their lives and transfer their trust to Him for the first time.....(can you say, "run on sentence," but so excited about Easter no time to take a breath)!!

Thank you again for not just pulling off a great Easter celebration but going above and beyond in so many ways I have no clue.

Second, of course, THIS SUNDAY - EPIC - can't wait to get rolling -

Love You guys, Love being your pastor, Love what God did this past Sunday not only at Compass but all over the planet - words fall short!! Can't wait to see what HE does next - the BEST is yet to come!!!!!

One more "peeps" thought and push heading up to the biggest game day of the year - EASTER!! PLEASE take 2 minutes to read this!!

The Peeps company and planning team is not only going all out in 2013 but with a twist. Not only do they have the traditional YELLOW peeps, but for their 60th Anniversary they are are rolling out blue, pink, and purple peeps...."Peeps with a Twist!!" I like it!!

So, check this out....for the 2013 anniversary of Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection, an eternally no holds barred unexplainable yet undeniable game changing day, what if we added a TWIST to our 2013 Easter INVITATIONS!! Here it is - instead of just INVITING our peeps, let's focus on BRINGING our Peeps!!

Hang with me for a sec....instead of JUST INVITING - "hey, would love for you to come to Easter services with me this year"...instead of just giving them an Epic Easter invite card....instead of "would love for you to visit my church this Sunday"....what if we said something like "Really feel this is going to be the best Easter ever, what would you say if we went together and let's grab a bite to eat/do Easter brunch together afterwards." In other words, let's TWIST it up in 2013 and not just INVITE our peeps but offer to BRING our peeps.

Sooooo many people in our world we come in contact with every day feel ALONE and I believe would come with us if we went all out with the twist to not just INVITE...but BRING THEM with us (that's what Andrew did for his brother Simon, Philip did for his friend Nathaniel (John 1:40-49), and the four friends did for their hurting friend in Mark 2:1-12.

Compass, I promise you through the power and presence of God that this year will be the most amazing and life changing easter services EVER and the the anticipation and excitement is at an all time high for God to show up and show off in a BIG WAY!! I believe with all my heart this TWIST to BRING our peeps and not just invite them WILL ABSOLUTELY make a huge difference!!

SOOOOOOOOOOOO PUMPED about EASTER because I know Easter is going to be AMAZING!! That friend you've asked so many times before only to hear no or be disappointed if they didn't show is worth another ask. Go for it!! And this year, don't just INVITE them but BRING them with you!!
